Nixie is one of our personal dogs that stays in the house with our family. She is a sweetheart. She is crate trained, potty trained, very friendly (including children and other dogs) and loves to hunt. Nixie has a very natural and rock solid point. She is the ideal size for a female pointing lab, approximately 50 lbs.
“Stop Dragin’ My Heart Around”, her name, is appropriate for this girl. She has been a sweetheart since the day we brought her into this world. She is my favorite female from that litter.
Nixie has shown herself to be a tremendous dog in the field. She is currently running doubles and pattern blinds. She is steady to wing, shot and fall in the upland field. She is very close to being ready to run Hunt Tests for Master Pointing Retriever in the American Pointing Labrador Association (APLA), Seasoned Hunt Tests for Hunting Retriever Club (HRC), and Senior Hunter for AKC.
Nixie comes from bloodlines of very talented pointing labs and it shows. Her Sire “Duke” is 4xGMPR HRCH HRK’s Cams Prince Charming Duke & Her Dam “Elle” is CPR HR HRK’s Gone in Sixty Seconds Eleanor. Duke has had a staunch point and loads of drive from puppyhood. He is a great family dog as well. Prior to reaching 1yr old Duke earned titles of CPR, APR in the APLA and 3 for 3 Started passes in the HRC. At 18 months he earned his MPR and 20 months earned his GMPR. Elle is a sister to Brody, Viper, Stryker that come from Hunters Rose Kennels pointing lab line that includes Gator, Kenai. Both Duke & Elle are CNM, EIC clear, have clear eye CERF and OFA Cert hips & elbows.
